There should be in excess of 100 lots ranging from quality show grade koi to pond fillers so come on and grab yourself a bargain. The Photos attached are a sample of koi being auctioned.

• While the Section takes every precaution to ensure the fish are fit for sale, we act solely as agents. Overall responsibility for the quality of the fish for sale, remains with the owner.
• On arrival make yourself known to the benching team. They will note your time of arrival and give you a sellers number. We bench fish on a first come, first served basis.
• Benched fish will be given lot numbers on the same basis. The lot number will be written clearly on each bag in indelible black ink.
• Fish showing visible signs of disease, parasites and physical damage will not be accepted for auction.
• Fish with minor, uninfected damage will be permitted but this will be pointed out to the buyers by the auctioneer.
• We insist that all lots arrive double bagged, properly tied and boxed. Any lot deemed improperly bagged will be re-bagged and re-oxygenated by the benching staff at a cost of £2 for rebagging and £1 for re-oxygenating, charged to the owner.
• We will oxygenate any lot for the seller on request at the same fee.
• Sellers are limited to 10 lots unless previously agreed with Auction Organiser.
• The section charges a 10% commission for members on the sale of each lot, 20% for non-memmbers.
• A seller can choose to place a 'reserve' on any lot. Indeed, we encourage this practise.
• Once benched, the lot cannot be sold privately unless it has not reached its given reserve.
• We do not accept lots of electrical goods, Goldfish, Orfe, Tench or fish other than Koi Carp for sale.
• All lots are sold as "Sight as seen".
• Potential buyers can collect a "buyers number" from the desk situated in the lobby of the hall.
• The buyers number has a handy reference grid on the reverse for you to make notes concerning the lots.
• The lots will be on view from approx 30minutes after benching starts. Please feel free to scrutinise them thouroughly. Under no circumstances lift the bag or move it from its position.
• When viewing the lots please walk around them, traversing up and down the inspection lanes. Do not step over the lots and at no time walk into the viewing area with lighted cigarettes or pipes.
• Only buyers with a "buyers number" can bid for the lots.
• We ask those actively bidding to position themselves in the full view of the auctioneer and make their bids obvious and clear.
• Please make a note of the lots that you have bought and the price you bid for them. The buyers number has an ideal grid on the back for just this purpose.
• Payment for lots bought can be made at any time during the auction at the desk in the foyer.
• When collecting fish please present your receipt to the members supervising the lots. If you need assistance transporting your purchases to the car, just ask. We are only too pleased to help.
• If you have a long journey ask the section members to ensure the fish are adequately bagged and oxygenated
