Description:
Black tank with light wood effects on hood - stand is dark wood effect trimmed in the same light wood effect to match hood. Tank, stand and hood are all Fluval branded - all have seen very light use. Sold Empty - NO FILTERS and NO FISH - but will come with the built in lighting system.
This tank's volume is about 240 liters, which is approximately 62 U.S. gallons. It is perfect for community fish and catfish. It currently holds a mix of Xingu catfish and live plants, however these are not ideal for this tank size which is the reason for selling - my fish have simply out grown it, so it is being replaced. This tank is in exceptionally fantastic condition, however I am sure it does have a few small scratches here and there, but I can't find any off hand :)
ACTUAL TANK SIZE:
Left to Right: 47 inch (about 119.38 cm)
Top to Bottom: 20 inch (about 50.8 cm)
Front to Back: 15.5 inch (about 39.37 cm)
STAND SIZE:
Left to Right: 47 inch (about 119.38 cm)
Top to Bottom: 27.5 inch (about 71.12 cm)
Front to Back: 15.5 inch (about 39.37 cm)
COMBINED SIZE:
Left to Right: 47 inch (about 119.38 cm)
Top to Bottom: 49 inch (about 124.46 cm)
Front to Back: 15.5 inch (about 39.37 cm)
While the hood is built onto the tank and consists of an I beam for lighting and 2 flip lids for access, it adds 1.5 inches of "dead space" to the over all height of the tank. It contains the lighting unit which has a switch on the cord. Sold with lighting unit, but there is no filter for this tank. It is being powered by a Fluval U4 and a Fluval FX5, which are over kill for this tank and will be moving on to the larger tank. The I beam of this tank contains one blue light and one white light, these are to soften the light for the catfish but provide light for the few plants in it. The tank will be sold with the lighting as is, however I may be able to find a second white light if the buyer does not want the blue light. The stand contains two compartments - the one on the left is the same size as the brown door, which contains a shelf. The one on the right is the width of the brown door and lighter wood panel next to it - it is a large open space for an external filter. It comfortably fits a Fluval FX5 with room for a second slightly smaller filter, or other bits and bobs. Only the dark brown sections open - there is no backing on the stand, so the entire back of the tank can be reached through opening the doors - handy to get to electrical sockets behind it without moving the tank ;)
Again, please note that this tank is sold EMPTY, with no fish, no filters and no decorations. The built in lighting is included but the filtration system is not. I have only included these in the description to show you what the tank can look like when full of fishy friends :)
